Exclusive Eyewear, Uniquely Custimizable Style.

Company History – A Classic in the Making

In the beginning, optician / craftsman Poul-Jorn Lindberg opened a small optical shop in 1969 and began to tinker with designing and developing eyewear styles that he has seen overseas.

Poul-Jorn Lindberg imagined spectacles that could be designed to be simple, attractive and functional frames

By 1979, Poul-Jorn was selling high quality hand-made eyewear out of his small optical shop in Denmark.

Later In 1983, Poul-Jorn Lindberg partnered with architect Hans Dissing to design and create the Lindberg Air Titanium Frame which had immediate success and officially launched the Lindberg Eyewear Brand one year later. The Air Titanium would later become Lindbergs signature piece, winning many design awards.

In 1984 Lingberg began sales overseas within the United States, Netherlands and France and since then to the rest of the world.

The Designs – Make a statement

Classic elegance and carefully considered simplicity, Lindberg eyewear tells the world you subscribe to a different way of thinking, and have connoisseur’s appreciation of exceptional design and high-quality materials. Every frame is a statement about aesthetics, technical innovation and impeccable craftsmanship

Lindberg has won more than 40 awards for its designs including prestigious honors as the Silmo d'Or, iF Product Design, G-Mark, Eyewear of the Year and Red Dot awards, as well as receiving a Warrant of Appointment, an honor granted to high-end companies that furnish goods to the royal family.

The Danish eyewear manufacturer has received world-renowned acclaim for their minimalist design, high-end rimless glasses and is considered to make one of the best customized rimless eyeglasses in the world. Luxurious and elegant, Lindberg eyewear are remarkably lightweight, weighing in at as little as 1.9 grams, with a strong and flexible titanium frame and an innovative screw-less design

The Materials – responsibly sourced materials selected for timeless elegance

Lindberg designs feature exceptional strength and distinctive visual impact. These exclusive materials include Titanium and Acetate and certain LINDBERG models are also available in eye-catching Natural Animal Horn and  Precious metals as well as options with Diamond.

Titanium - the metal is lightweight, flexible and strong.

Titanium is simply twisted and bent into some of the lightest and most flexible frames in the world. Unnecessary details have been done away with and the frames are designed without screws, rivets or welds. All this makes the frames strong, deformation resistant and hypoallergenic-nickel free. Hygienic nose pads and temple covers made from medical silicone ensure that the frame stays in place, and are extremely comfortable.

Lindbergs new Acetanium range is a combination of acetate and titanium. Over the years Lindberg has been able to create minimalist, light as a feather eyewear with individual style. They have replicated this philosophy, producing one of the lightest acetate frames on the market, without comprising their elegant style, maximum comfort and functional design.

Imagination has no limits with this hand crafted Danish eyewear collection. Offering individualized customization options which can be special ordered in any combination. A variety of colors, numerous style designs, the options of 2 other precious metals, 18 Carat Gold and Platinum, as well as laser engraving on the inside of the temples is also available.
